Towing and Vertical Loads

Our trailer hitches always meet at least the permissible towing loads that are registered in your vehicle registration document under point O.1 / O.2. As a rule, our systems are suitable and tested for higher forces, so that there is also the possibility of increasing the towing capacity.

The vertical loads, which can be found under point 13 of the vehicle registration document, are also always met. As a rule, our trailer hitches have a maximum technical vertical load of 150kg, which is limited by the entry in the vehicle registration document.

Electrical Kits

Our electrical kits are always 13-pin and thus meet all requirements of today’s trailer and testing guidelines. You’ll also always receive the matching vehicle-specific electrical kits from us, so that integration into the vehicle electronics can take place and both trailer stability control and the required turn signal and lighting monitoring are fulfilled.

For vehicles from base vehicle manufacturers VW, MAN and Mercedes, coding of the software parameters may be required. Here you can order the coding dongle directly through our shop. This eliminates the trip to the authorized dealer and we carry out the coding conveniently at your location.

TÜV Inspection and Registration

In 99% of cases, you don’t need a TÜV inspection of the trailer hitch after completing the retrofit, you’ll receive a general operating permit directly with delivery, which you must carry in the vehicle.
Only in the event that your RV has no registered towing capacity in the vehicle registration document under points O.1 / O.2, is it necessary to have this added through an individual inspection. In most cases, you’ll also need a release declaration from the manufacturer for this. We’re happy to help you with this, just contact us!

Towing Capacity Increase

For selected RVs, after entering your vehicle data, you’ll find the option to order a report for towing capacity increase directly. These reports can be used without problems for the German and Austrian markets. After completing the order, you’ll receive an email from us and must send us a copy of your vehicle registration document by email.

After completing the review, we’ll get back to you with the maximum possible increase, which depends on the exact vehicle configuration in individual cases. The values displayed in the online shop are always the maximum values. If the possible towing capacity is sufficient for you, give us feedback, then we’ll have the report created for you and send it as quickly as possible.

Please understand that the delivery date of the towing capacity increase reports may differ from the delivery date of the installation components. For use in other countries, please contact us.

Installation Instructions and Support

You’ll receive corresponding installation instructions for each item. In the RV sector, these instructions often consist of exploded drawings or descriptions.
