📜 Approval & registration
The towbar must be registered in your vehicle documents. The required certificate is included in the scope of delivery, and the “individual approval” under §21 StVZO is carried out by an accredited inspection service. Depending on the region, this usually costs between €100–150. If you choose our professional installation, the inspection is already included in the price!
Trailer Mode
We now offer our customers the exclusive option to enable the original Tesla Trailer Mode after the towbar retrofit has been completed at our premises. Trailer Mode on the Tesla Model 3 ensures the rear ultrasonic sensors / distance warning are automatically disabled. The braking behaviour and Autopilot also automatically adapt for towing. This activation is currently only available from us and can be provided to our customers on request.
